Residential Development

Stanley Construction Services Ltd acquired a brownfield site in Widnes and successfully secured planning permission for the development of four residential properties. All units were sold prior to completion, reflecting the quality and appeal of the scheme.

The development was delivered using traditional construction methods, including concrete foundations, block and beam floors, brick-and-block cavity walls, and trussed rafters under tiled roofs. The homes were covered by a 10-year Premier Guarantee warranty, providing additional assurance to purchasers.

Completed within 16 months, the project was delivered on time and within budget, enabling SCS to seamlessly transition to our next development, Rock House Apartments.

Rocklands Development, Rainhill

Rock House Apartments

Stanley Construction Services Ltd acquired a 19th-century manor house in a prime location within Rainhill’s conservation area. Following an extensive planning process, permission was secured to transform the property into eight luxury apartments.

This bespoke development comprises generously proportioned two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments set across three floors, each finished to an exceptional specification. Features include underfloor heating, contemporary kitchens, stylish bathrooms, and both stair and lift access to all levels, ensuring comfort and convenience for residents.

Given the prominent location and conservation constraints, particular emphasis was placed on the external façade and overall construction quality. Close collaboration with MSA Architects, local planning authorities, and the parish council was essential to meet the highest standards and respect the historic setting.

Constructed using traditional methods, Rock House Apartments successfully blends modern luxury with heritage sensitivity. As with previous developments, a 10-year Premier Guarantee warranty was provided, offering residents complete peace of mind.

Rocklands Development, Rainhill

Traditional Elegance

Following the successful completion of Rock House Apartments, Stanley Construction Services Ltd acquired part of the former Rocklands Hotel site. After a detailed planning process, approval was granted for the development of two bespoke four-bedroom detached homes.

The first property, fronting View Road, is a traditionally built masonry home with feature sandstone window surrounds beneath a slate roof. Spanning approximately 3,000 sq. ft., it combines striking architectural details with practical modern living.

Key features include full-height windows that flood the interior with natural light, a glass atrium and statement staircase linking all floors, underfloor heating throughout, and a modern open-plan kitchen fitted with Neff appliances. The property also offers three luxury bathrooms, a separate WC, an integral double garage, landscaped private gardens, and a full alarm and security system.

Covered by a 10-year Premier Guarantee structural warranty, the property was completed in March 2023 and sold off-plan prior to handover.

Rocklands Development, Rainhill

Modern Minimalism

Stanley Construction Services Ltd were appointed to undertake a full renovation of a distinguished period home, restoring its original character while introducing high-quality modern finishes throughout. The project involved a meticulous refurbishment of both the interior and exterior, preserving key architectural details such as the original mosaic-tiled hallway floor, bespoke sash windows, Victorian-style radiators, high ceilings, and ornate architraves and skirting. Each element was carefully repaired, refinished, or replicated to ensure the property’s period charm was retained.

Internally, the layout was fully reconfigured to suit modern living, creating bright and functional spaces. All areas were completed with premium fixtures, fittings and finishes to complement the traditional design. Externally, works included new wrought-iron railings to the front elevation, extensive brick and stone restoration and a landscaped rear garden with high-quality paving to provide a low-maintenance space.
